Veld & VesselLeave room for the people.

At Veld & Vessel a table arrangement begins with the view across supper. We think about where flowers sit while people speak, pass dishes and lift a glass. For an intimate wedding the brief can be drawn around the rooms you will actually use.

Flowers through the day

A room-by-room placement check

Imagine arriving with only your placement list and no photographs. Would you know which flowers are collected by a person and which belong on a particular surface? A good list uses descriptions the venue team will recognise. The table beside the entrance is easier to find than a reference called inspiration three.

One table at the end of the room

The long table on the floor plan is against a wall, while the round tables have guests on every side. Repeating the same vase arrangement on both may waste space on the long table and block conversation at the round ones. Make a rough plan showing where each group sits and where shared dishes will arrive.

Give the ceremony its own line on the plan. If two arrangements are intended to appear again at supper, work out when they can leave the ceremony and who has permission to move them. The number of flowers is only part of that decision. A heavy container, a narrow entrance or a short handover window can change which plan is workable.

Flowers through the day

Bridal bouquet

Consider how the bouquet will be held and where it will rest between photographs. Shape and weight are as useful to discuss as the list of flowers in a reference image.

Wedding party flowers

List the people who need a piece and the moment each person receives it. This prevents the collection list from becoming a second, conflicting version of the guest list.

Ceremony arrangements

A pair of arrangements can frame a standing couple quite differently from a low piece on a signing table. Describe where the guests will be looking from.

Reception flowers

Bring the table dimensions and indicate whether food will be served on shared platters. Space that looks plentiful on an empty table disappears quickly once supper is laid.

Venue delivery and setup

Agree an access contact, a time window and which pieces are placed by the studio. A bouquet handed to the wedding party and a vase positioned in a hall are different handovers.

My flower list

Choose the option you want to discuss and add a detail in your own words. Distinguish the ceremony location from the reception tables. The text file is yours to keep or share later.

Count the table vessels

Try a spacing plan before the consultation. Count only reception tables here; keep ceremony pieces and handheld flowers on a separate list so they are not assigned twice.

Walk the table before naming the stems

Place two chairs opposite each other and lay out the plates, glasses and a serving dish. Sit down. If the proposed shape would interrupt a conversation, record the height that felt comfortable. Bring those observations to the consultation alongside a photograph of the room.

Separate the colour that ties the occasion together from varieties you simply admire. This gives us room to suggest seasonal alternatives without quietly changing the character of the arrangement. Before preparation we review the palette, agreed substitutions and the final placement list.

At the counter

Do I need a consultation?

Yes. The intimate wedding project is quoted after a design consultation and the scope is confirmed before reserving the date.

Can every table use the same flowers?

We agree the visual relationship across tables. Exact varieties and quantities depend on season and confirmed availability.

Can the ceremony flowers move to reception?

Raise it when planning access. Timing, who moves each piece and the suitability of the container all need agreement.
